TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our stock and other branded furniture

We stock original used Chesterfield Furniture as well as some other well known branded furniture.


Stock varies in age. We do not know age of every piece as some can be harder to guess than others, however, we can research the pieces and ask the previous owner for the history of the piece/s you require more information from.


Each piece is different from the next as they vary in colour, shape, size and condition.

DELIVERY

We offer FREE DELIVERY on all our furniture


An additional charge will be applied to your quote should you wish to request a weekend delivery as special arrangements will be made. (Please ask for more details)


We aim to deliver your furniture within 10 working days from the date of purchase. This varies depending on where you are in the UK.


Please note: These postcodes for a longer delivery time scale INCLUDE ALL SCOTLAND AND HIGHLANDS, IRELAND, CA, LA, NE, DH, TS, DL, SR, HU, LL, NR, CT, SOME SA, YO, IP, CO and PO.


This is due to us needing to source a third party courier, please contact us to make delivery arrangements before purchasing.


Please contact us before you purchase your item to ensure we can fulfil your request and give you a quotation.


Anything past Glasgow and Edinburgh may incur an additional delivery charge. We will need the customer’s postcode to check the costs.

PAYMENTS

We accept PayPal, credit and debit cards, and bank transfer


We will not dispatch furniture without receiving a deposit or full payment.

We will not hold items for customers unless a deposit or full payment has been received; storage is free for the first 7 days from the date of purchase and then £5 pound per day to be paid in advance.

Ahern’s Furniture Gift Vouchers are also accepted. If you would like to purchase one, please call or email us for more information on how to get in touch.

Businesses can be invoiced as we can email one out to you. We can also send an invoice as a receipt if you are buying the piece of furniture for your personal use.

All deposits are non refundable under any circumstances, you can only exchange the funds towards another purchase on a different item. Deposits have to be made in order for us to reserve an item for you. If you refuse your delivery, you will still be liable for the delivery charge!

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

Cancellations (Service contract)


If you would like to cancel your order because you have changed your mind or for another valid reason, you have 14 days from the date of purchase including weekends to inform us of your cancellation. If your item has been dispatched, you will be charged for the carriage charge of the courier to return the item back to us. If your item has had an attempted delivery, you will also be charged for the transportation charge. Please feel to ask us what these charges are, we can issue an invoice if you haven’t paid for your item, you can then pay the courier yourself or we can deduct it from your payment if you have already paid for your item. Both the dispatch charge and the attempted delivery charge still apply with our free delivery listing.


Returns and refunds


We are happy for you to return your item should you be unhappy with your purchase. You have 14 days including weekends from the date of purchase to return the item to us and you are responsible for arranging the delivery back to us. If you decide to use a courier to return the item/s back to us, you will also need to cover the cost. Please bear this in mind when making your purchase and remember by making a purchase, you are also agreeing to our terms and conditions.

We are happy for you to get in touch if you would like us to recollect the item. The delivery charges will apply, the driver will check the item over at the property before loading and should the item be damaged, we will not accept the return. We will also appeal any case you wish to open via eBay as photos will be taken.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be refunded the amount paid for the original item MINUS the original delivery charge, which we have paid. This still applies with items that are marked.

Free delivery


Please enquire as to the charges before you make your purchase if you would like this information. A discounted return charge will be applied when you refuse delivery at the door rather than accepting delivery and us returning at a later date to collect.

Storage


We can store furniture. If you need it delivered at a later date, the charge will be £5 per day per item with the first 7 days free and we count the seven days from the date of purchase.
